Examples of wording for different types of gifts in Wills

To help you include a gift in your Will to Perennial, the following wording can be used for a residuary gift, a pecuniary gift, or a specific gift. Take these samples to your solicitor. They will ensure that your wishes are carried out accurately:

Residuary Gifts

I give (%) of the residue of my real and personal Estate which I can dispose of by Will in any manner I think proper to Perennial, the Gardeners' Royal
Benevolent Society (an exempt charity) of 115/117 Kingston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7SU and the receipt of the Treasurer or proper officer for the
time being of Perennial shall be a complete discharge to my Executors.

Pecuniary Gifts

I give the sum of ... pounds to Perennial, the Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society (an exempt charity) of 115/117 Kingston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7SU and the receipt of the Treasurer or proper officer for the time being of Perennial shall be a complete discharge to my Executors.

Specific Gifts

I bequeath my ___________ (eg. property, shares, jewellery, furniture, etc) to Perennial, the Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society (an exempt charity) of 115/117 Kingston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7SU and the receipt of the Treasurer or proper officer for the time being of Perennial shall be a complete discharge to my Executors.
