South West Region Page
Welcome to the South West regional pages.
Here in the South West we are looking forward to a year of events and activities.
Volunteering
In the South West region, our volunteers were busy throughout the whole of last year, raising both awareness of our charity and funds to support our work. We have attended numerous shows and events throughout the region - from 3 day county shows to local afternoon fetes, coffee mornings to conferences, volunteers have been out and about spreading the news about Perennial and our services - thank you all so much for your help, we really couldn't manage without you!
Can You Help?
Are you able to help at the shows we attend or to lend a hand at our events? Do get in touch if you are able to help or would just like to find out a bit more - its great fun and we would really value your support.
We are also always looking for new fundraising opportunities and never more so than in this our 170th Anniversary Year. Perhaps you could help us by:
- Attending a local show or event yourself to promote Perennial
- Taking our collecting tins or selling our raffle tickets
- Raising funds through sponsored events - are you running the London Marathon? Or maybe knitting the largest blanket in the world? Or perhaps you could organise a sponsored walk for yourself and a group of friends?
- Holding your own event to raise funds - such as a coffee morning, jumble sale, cake bake, pub quiz.
- Involving your workplace - many companies are pleased to help support charities suggested by their staff and may even match the amounts raised by their staff with their own contribution.
- Taking part in an overseas challenge event - raising funds for Perennial by cycling, canoeing, walking or riding through a part of the world you have always wanted to visit
Whatever your ideas, please do get in touch and we'll be delighted to hear from you.
How we can helpOur regionally based caseworkers are only a phone call away. If you are - or have been - a horticulturist and you need our help you can contact the Senior Caseworker for your area directly by going to the Helping You pages.
