Richard Capewell
Chief Executive
Richard took over the reins as Chief Executive in 1999. He has held senior positions in Mencap and was Director of Children's Services for a Surrey based charity caring for children with disabilities before joining Perennial. Richard has long been a Trustee and former Chair of the specialist social care charity, Equinox.

Sally Hanson
Director of Finance & Administration
A chartered accountant, Sally has many years experience in the charity sector in both formal financial roles and as a volunteer. Her most recent role was with a charitable social landlord who also provided tenancy support services. Sally has been with Perennial since August 2007.

Sheila Thomson
Director of Services
Taking up this role in September 2002, Sheila's background is in advice work, support services and sheltered and supported housing. Sheila is responsible for all Perennial's services, including our caseworker team and retirement accommodation.

Andrew Nebel
Interim Director of Marketing & Fundraising
Andrew retired from Barnardo's in May 2009 after 12 years as the UK Director of Marketing and Communications and now runs his own consultancy service. He is also a non-executive director of Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Trustees

Our charity is governed by a Board of Trustees who serve on a voluntary basis. They are drawn from a variety of professions and walks of life. However, all have a common objective of providing the very best in support services to those in need in horticulture.

Sir Roger Singleton - Chairman

Retired as Chief Executive of Barnardo's in 2005, and is currently Chair of the Independent Safeguarding Authority.

Horticultural scientist, academic and consultant, formerly Professor of Horticulture at University of Strathclyde.
